Wei Wang is a Professor and Vice Dean of College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, China. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Visiting Student with University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. From 2013 to 2015, he was a Hong Kong Scholar with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong.
His research interests mainly focus on low-latency wireless communications, mobile edge computing, and stochastic optimization for wireless networks. He is an Editor of the book titled Cognitive Radio Systems and has published about 200 papers in international journals and conferences, including over 70 papers in IEEE journals. He received the Natural Science Award First Prize from China Institute of Communications, and two awards from international conferences including the best paper finalist of IEEE Globecom.
He is the Associate Secretary-General of Zhejiang Institute of Communications, and an IEEE senior member. He served as an Editor for Series on Network Softwarization & Enablers, IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications. He also served as co-chair or TPC member for several international conferences, e.g., TPC co-chair of WCSP 2023. He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access since 2015.
