Sungyong Jung received a Ph.D. degree in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He was a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Currently, he is a professor and a department head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at South Dakota State University.
His research interests include bio/chemical sensing integrated circuits and embedded systems, RF IC Design, and analog and mixed signal IC design for applications such as hearing aid devices, smart farming, and environmental sensing. He has been the associate editor in Frontiers in Sensors and the associate editor in IEEE Access
