Petros Nicopolitidis is a Professor in the School of Informatics, Aristotle University, Greece, where he is currently the Director of the Network and Communication Systems MSc program. He holds a PhD degree (2003) and a BSc degree (1998) in Informatics, from the School of Informatics, Aristotle University, Greece. His research interests are on Wireless Networks, Optical Networks, Biological Nanonetworks, Network Security, Internet of Things and AI-based Networking. He has published 88 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 98 papers in international conferences. He has co-authored a book published by Wiley and edited three book published by Springer-Nature and Morgan-Kaufmann. He co-holds a patent on IoT networking. He has served as Associate Editor for Wireless Networks, Springer (2019-2024), IEEE Access
(2016-2024), Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Hindawi (2018-2024), Security and Communication Networks, Hindawi (2013-2024) and continues to serve in this role for International Journal of Communication Systems and Security and Privacy, both published by Wiley. Prof. Nicopolitidis served as the Senior TPC Chair for the IEEE ComSoc-sponsored CITS and CCCI conferences.
