Luigi Fortuna (Life Fellow, IEEE) is a Full Professor of System Theory since 1994. He was Dean of the Engineering Faculty of the University of Catania Italy (2005-2012) and Director of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the same University (2002-2005). He is also an IEICE Fellow.
Since 1982, he has taught 80 courses covering all the disciplines regarding automation, control, robotics, operative research and bioengineering. He is author of twenty books from international publishers and has also contributed as the co-author of 12 industrial patents. As of November 2024, he is the author of 742 Scopus Indexed papers.
Dr. Fortuna’s main activity today regards linear and nonlinear circuit control theory and applications and he is truly interested in educational programs regarding quantum mechanics and control theory topics.
