Chuan Heng Foh received the M.Sc. degree from Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, in 2002. After the Ph.D. degree, he spent six months as a Lecturer with Monash University. In December 2002, he joined Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as an Assistant Professor until 2012. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. He has authored or coauthored more than 180 refereed papers in international journals and conferences.
His research interests include protocol design, machine learning application, and performance analysis of various computer networks, including wireless local area networks, mobile ad-hoc and sensor networks, vehicular networks, the Internet of Things, 5G/6G networks, and open RAN. He served as the Vice Chair (Europe/Africa) for IEEE TCGCC in 2015 and 2017. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the IEEE VTS Ad Hoc Committee on Mission Critical Communications.
