Internet-of-Things (IoT) Big Data Trust Management

Submission Deadline: 15 August 2018

IEEE Access invites manuscript submissions in the area of Internet-of-Things (IoT) Big Data Trust Management.

Internet of Things (IoT) has been widely used in our daily life, and applications include smart home, wearables, smart city/grid, crowdsourcing, and connected car. The exponential increase in the number of diverse smart sensing devices has also resulted in a significant increase in the volume, variety, velocity and veracity of data (i.e. big data), leading to the advent of a new wave of computing driven by IoT and big data. In IoT smart systems, an entity (including both human, software, and machines) highly relies on other entities in the network with respect to security, privacy, trustworthiness of data, and trustworthiness of services. Trust management has, thus, emerged as a critical factor in system design, operations and management in the IoT big data era. This Special Section in IEEE Access is devoted to state-of-the-art developments and research outcomes addressing the related theoretical and practical aspects on the trust management of IoT big data, and aims to provide researchers and practitioners a platform to present innovative solutions.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Architecture, models, and design for trustworthiness in IoT Big Data
  • Trustworthiness in Big Data and IoT applications
  • Network and system trustworthiness for IoT Big Data
  • Data trust, device trust and user trust in IoT applications
  • Identity management and identity trust in IoT Big Data
  • Trustworthy big data fusion and composition for IoT
  • Trustworthy big data sensing and adaptive collection for IoT
  • Trustworthiness measurement, modelling, evaluation, reputation generation, and tools for IoT Big Data
  • Privacy preservation and enhancement for IoT Big Data services
  • Trustworthy and privacy-preserving big data processing and analytics for IoT
  • Trustworthy and anonymous authentication in IoT Big Data applications
  • Secure big data transmission with efficiency for IoT
  • Legal issues analytics for trustworthiness in IoT Big Data
  • Big Data economics for IoT trustworthiness
  • Economic big data storage management for IoT applications
  • IoT networking data collection and trust management
  • IoT network security measurement based on big data

We also highly recommend the submission of multimedia with each article as it significantly increases the visibility, downloads, and citations of articles.
